After a few
hours drive from Dhulikhel, we reach the border between Nepal and Tibet.
Crossing it is not as complicated as expected; even though they make sure Cheun
has no fever!! ;-) We have to pass the night in a dodgy border village, as the
road is closed because of the snow. Due to the time changing (2 hours
difference!), we are astounded that sunset is only at 8 PM while the next day
it also rises only after 7.30 AM. Quite a change after Nepal!!
On the next
day, our long journey (4 days) to Lhasa starts. Slowly we gain on altitude and reach
the peaks. We cross some passes (above 5000 meters) and even (or still!!!) want
to dive.
