Myanmar -around Mandalay

The last day in Mandalay - and in Myanmar- Cheun had to get around on his own because Ronny felt sick. The plan of the day was to explore the surroundings of the ancient capital.
After a short stop in a gold leaf factory, he headed to Amarapura. There he saw many monks getting ready for lunch and what is said to be the longest teak bridge of the world (U Bein’s).
Then he got to Sagaing, the former palace of the king.
Actually these were not the main events of the day. Out of nowhere he and the bikedriver were in the middle of a donation ceremony: the colourful animals and carriages, the festive outfits, the very loud live music...this was the perfect ending of our stay in that amazing country...
