What we imagined to be a city (as it is the capital of Palawan) seems more like a huge village. For us, Puerto Princesa is the exploring point of the Underground River (Unesco Heritage) and recently declared as one of the New Seven Wonders Of Nature. It is a channel of 8.2km which flows directly into the sea.
As Filipino kids enjoy their summer holidays, the site was crowded. We imagined it to be a more adventurous activity, but realised very soon that it is a family-suited one.
