Iran- Kerman

After Tehran we took the overnight train (12 hours) to Kerman in the southeast of Iran where we met these nice (but non english speaking gentlemen). In this area- the first thing that striked us- was the heat. In summer there are places in the desert (1-2 hours drive away) reaching 65-70 degrees Celsius. Knowing this we were quite happy with our 40-45 degrees.

We went to Mahan and visted the Aramgah-e Shah Ne’matollah Vali and the beautiful garden of Bagh-e Shahzede. Our main interest lied in visting Arg-e Rayen though, an ancient desert citadel completely built out of mud. It seems that it is over 1000 years old and is quite impressive.
