Tibet- from Shigatse to Lhasa

While we continue our journey to Lhasa, we stop at the magnificent Palkhor Monastery (with its Kumbum Stupa). We have lunch there and enjoy watching the people getting in and out of the temple.

We then drive onwards along Malang river and enjoy its beautiful views. Our journey then brings us to Yamdrok Lake.

It just takes us two more hours to get to Lhasa where we arrive after sunset.

Tibet- Shigatse

In Shigatse we go to the Tashilhunpo Monastery. It is amazing. For further information see the link below.

After this, we go with our new German friends for dinner and land in a Tibetan restaurant. Ordering is quite funny as nobody understands English and we – of course- don’t speak Tibetan. Fortunately we get some help from our neighbours, even though they don’t speak English neither.
